Smooth fiberglass doors require a bonding primer, or the top coat must have a boning agent that will adhere to pvc, plastic and fiberglass. Painting guide.

No, if a door is painted or stained before the installation it is possible to scratch or damaged the finish. For the best results, it is best to finish doors after installation.
